A native Mainer, Ben typically does not differentiate between work and play, and he dives right in to both! His innate desire to create impactful experiences for others is deeply rooted in his energy, empathy, and ability to uncover what makes an individual or setting unique.
Ben honed his hospitality skills in many different environments. From his time at multiple Relais & Chateaux properties across the country to the Auberge Resorts in Napa Valley, Ben has had the honor of working with some of the most passionate and talented hospitality professionals in the industry.
Ben was already brainstorming the next stage of his hospitality journey when Selena and Jonathan brought up the idea of creating a nonprofit focused on helping families manage the challenges of outpatient cancer treatment. They told Ben about the idea for nutrition guidance, meal preparation and delivery, as well as the need for a community hub that would allow families or individuals to take advantage of the healing potential of a supportive social environment.
Ben’s service mentality along with his direct experience navigating the nonlinear journey of his father’s battle with cancer, saw this as an immense opportunity to be impactful for a venerable population. He saw how his years of experience managing restaurants, hotels, and resorts could be recalibrated and focused on this next stage of being of service to others.
