January 2026

Happy New Year! What a tremendous first year it has been for Caring Community Cuisine.

To close out 2025, we served over 2,444 meals to local families. The family structure for our warriors varies tremendously. From single member households, to children, to adorable pets, we were able to connect with resilient members of the community. Providing meals is one portion of our mission, but visiting with our families each week is the true gift.

We have great appreciation for local businesses who proudly supported our mission. From new lighting in the restaurant, to package room rates, to word-of-mouth marketing, so many have stepped up to help.

Our giving tree was a success, as patrons purchased ticket items like new aprons and t-shirts for the CCC Team and even monetary donations.

We are humbled by the unyielding support and look forward to continued generosity in the new year!

Warrior Highlight

The biggest reward our staff/volunteers receive from providing our services, is meeting unique families, all at different points in their cancer journey. Here is a testimonial from one of the cancer families we serve. We have been with for several months and who are now "warm" in Florida shared:

“Many thanks for all your support these many months. I knew it would be helpful, but didn’t realize how much it has meant to us to have you as a part of Dad’s care team. There have been some low days and your visits have made a huge difference. We look forward to continuing our support of CCC, as it has become a part of our hearts.”

Thank you for your continued support of our mission and allowing us to wake everyday and look forward to helping others.

Monthly Events

We have a new calendar on our website that features events and details for each month. Here are this month’s offerings:

10 January - Carrot Cooking Class

14 January - Dinner with a Purpose

24 January - Warming Spices Drink Class

Please visit the Calendar tab and click on the special event date. A new window will pop up that provides more details about each event and a link to purchase tickets.

As we evolve and learn, we have had the pleasure of connecting with organizations geared directly toward helping non-profits thrive. One of those is Zeffy, an online event ticket sales platform that allows all funds raised to be passed directly to CCC without any fees. We feel this platform is easier to use for you, our beloved guests and donors, and makes each transaction seamless.

We look forward to welcoming you to our events this month!

Like-Minded Causes

In 2026, we look forward to helping other like minded nonprofits to fulfill their mission. Check out our new website page highlighting the like-minded causes we champion. One of those organizations is No Kid Hungry, whose mission is to end childhood hunger in America.

In support of this mission, Jonathan and Selena will be participating in Chefs Cycle 2026 in Bend, Oregon this June. Chefs, restaurateurs, hospitality professionals, and passionate advocates ride side by side to make a real difference for kids. Together, they will undertake a 2-day, 200-mile ride to help provide funds for this great cause.

Jonathan and Selena have to raise at least $4,500 each to participate in this high-impact fundraising campaign. If you are able to support their efforts, please donate https://p2p.onecause.com/chefscycle26/team/ccckport

Ways to Support Our Mission

  • Dine at our 2 Pier Road location! We are open 9am to 2pm Sunday through Tuesday.

  • Help us to reach our monthly financial goal of $30,000 through our “Donate” tab.

  • Volunteer! We would like to announce two positions:

    • A café greeter on Sunday mornings allows for social interaction and the ability to verbalize our mission to others

    • A kitchen assistant who can package and delegate weekly meals for our warriors. This is most needed on Tuesdays, as it is our largest delivery day.

Please reach out to Selena at selena@ccckport.org if you are interested.
