March 2026

March has arrived and the snow continues to fall! Regardless of the weather outside, we are here to warm the body and soul. CCC is currently helping 16 local families and served 245 meals in the month of February.

This was the first month for Wednesday "Happy Hour"! Our special events bring together great people, food, and conversation. We also held private events, allowing hosts to become a "restauranteur for the night", decorating the café space in their visions and curating their dream menus.

All these events culminate into creating funds to continue providing meals and peace of mind to our warriors. As always, thank you for your support in our mission!

March Events

4 March: Dinner with a Purpose - This Schlegel Realty party celebrates one of our supportive business sponsors and board members. Fully Reserved.

11 March: Dinner with a Purpose - We are honoring the memory of our good friend and mentor Laurence Bongiorno. He was a local businessman who brought the White Barn Inn to a Forbes Five Star standard and greatly impacted our mission at CCC

18 March: Dinner with a Purpose - We are spotlighting Rett’s Roost. This local Maine nonprofit is dedicated to being a beacon of hope and healing for families facing the trauma of childhood cancer or terminal illness.

25 March: Sip with a Purpose - We feature four wines and food pairings in this class. Each wine is available for purchase through our friends at Bradbury Brothers Market.

NEW THIS MONTH: We are thrilled to offer Sunday Cooking Classes from 2pm - 4pm for up to 15 people! The class host can offer suggestions or allow Chefs Jonathan and Selena choose. Please call Caring Community Cuisine to discuss and to book: (207) 204-0707.

Warrior Spotlight

This month’s warrior spotlight celebrates our first ever warrior family. They reside in Westbrook and were recommended to CCC through the Dempsey Center. This family was integral in developing the common practices we use everyday by providing honest and creative feedback.

As a family of six, weekly deliveries brought many meals and smiles! In fact, one delivery contained breakfast for dinner, which was requested by the youngest family member. Upon its arrival, he rejoiced and exclaimed, "It's pancakes for dinner!”

Happily, our first warrior is now in remission. We have gained invaluable memories from this family and continue to check their healing journey!

Thank you so much for everything. These last 7 months have been easier in so many ways because of you. Please know you are all so appreciated and will never be forgotten."
