Community is essential

One of our pillars at Caring Community Cuisine is “community” and this is such a fantastic one to be a part of! From soup dinners, sponsorships, to concerts, we feel the support of our community. These fundraising events have not only helped monetarily, but also have allowed us to share our mission with larger Maine areas. Thank you to so many for continuing to amplify and support our mission!

Warrior Spotlight

This month, we highlight one of our warrior families who is able to slowly step back from our weekly meal support. Here is what this lovely family shared with us:

"The words ‘Caring Community Cuisine’ are well chosen as a name for the nonprofit program that has been instrumental part of my healing journey for many months. Upon hearing about CCC and the services it offers, both my partner and I felt blessed that delicious, healthy meals would be provided while I was recovering from major surgery and beyond. They even delivered the meals to our home!

Along with having anxiety due to a cancer diagnosis and side-effects from its treatment, I also had less energy with which to perform necessary life tasks. Not having to worry about cooking daily meals was a phenomenal gift that allowed me to direct more of my energy toward healing. Every single one of the CCC members with whom I came in contact were kind, patient, and pleasant. I found myself looking forward not only to eating the tasty meals, but also to seeing and talking to the angels who contributed their services!

Although I have yet to dine at their nonprofit café in Kennebunkport, I look forward to the day when I can do so in order that I may give back in a small way to others who are in need. I will be ever grateful for the exceptional meals provided us and for all the open-hearted people associated with an organization that truly cares."

All warrior families They will always be part of the CCC community and are able to restart our services at any point, as needed. A portion of our business model is to help and inspire others to cook at home. Through classes and ingredient knowledge, we hope to bolster culinary confidence.
